The Ave Collabs with Heavy Metal Legends Judas Priest to Create Custom Chucks & Vans
Posted on May 04 2016
Formed in Birmingham, England, Judas Priest has been at the forefront of heavy metal music since its inception in 1969. With over 45 million records sold, countless world tours and a GRAMMY Award for Best Metal Performance in 2010, Priest has solidified themselves as one of the world's elite bands.
1982's Screaming for Vengeance was Priest's 8th studio album and includes the hit single "You've Got Another Thing Comin". The album sold over 5 million copies worldwide and spawned the Vengeance world tour which kicked off soon after its release.
Screaming for Vengeance hit #17 on the US Billboard 200 Pop Albums and reached #11 on the UK Albums Chart. With IGN and Kerrang! including Screaming on their top Metal albums lists among countless other accolades, Screaming is widely considered one of the most influential heavy metal albums of all time.
Their follow-up album, Defenders of the Faith, received a Platinum certification by the RIAA and boasted several singles including "Freewheel Burning" and "Love Bites".
The cover art, created by Doug Johnson (who also designed the Hellion on the Screaming for Vengeance cover) features a "Master of All Metal" assault creature conceptualized by the band.
